Adam Smith Fellowship at Mercatus Center in USA 2022

The Mercatus Center welcomes interested and qualified people to apply for the Adam Smith Fellowship in the United States, which will begin in 2022.

Adam Smith Fellowship

The Mercatus Center (formerly the Center for the Study of Market Processes) at George Mason University has recruited, taught, and supported graduate students who have gone on to seek professions in academia, government, and public policy, as well as academics undertaking cutting-edge academic research.

The Adam Smith Fellowship is a Mercatus Center and Liberty Fund, Inc. co-sponsored initiative.

Graduate students enrolled in PhD programs at any institution and in any subject, including but not limited to economics, philosophy, political science, and sociology, are eligible for Adam Smith Fellowships.

The goal of these fellowships is to connect students to prominent ideas in political economics who they may not otherwise meet during their graduate studies and to urge them to critically interact with them.

As a result, Adam Smith Fellows attend workshops and seminars on the Austrian, Virginia, and Bloomington schools of political economy on three weekends during the academic year and one week during the summer.
