For the academic year 2022/2023, the University College London (UCL) is accepting applications for the Access Opportunity Scholarship for students in the United Kingdom.
The Access Opportunity award is designed to help students who are unable to get student loans for their higher education due to their immigration status.
University College London (UCL) is a public research university in London, United Kingdom, that has been operating under the official name of UCL since 2005. It is a part of the federal University of London and is the United Kingdom’s third biggest university by overall enrollment and the largest by postgraduate enrolment.
Worth of Scholarship
For the usual term of your study at UCL, the scholarship will cover tuition costs and a living stipend of £11,000 each year.
Requirements for the Access Opportunity Scholarship
Applicants for the scholarship must meet the following requirements:
- Having a spot on a UCL undergraduate degree offered to you and;
- Asylum seekers, children of asylum seekers, and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children in the UK OR forced migrants in the UK who have been granted a temporary form of leave as a result of an asylum or human rights application (e.g. limited leave to remain, discretionary leave to remain, humanitarian protection) and;
- Because of their immigration status, they are unable to get student financing (tuition fees or maintenance loans).

In August 2019, the successful applicants will be notified.
Please presume your application has been failed if you have not heard from the UCL Student Funding Office by Friday, August 2, 2019.
